My kids and I are Soldiers’ Angels, and we’ve been adopting soldiers for 4 1/2 years. We would LOVE to adopt this guy! |

OMG, this is awesome…sounds like my brother…he just wants to shoot at something. I wish we could see more stuff like this, I think there would be a much different view on the war in Iraq. Thank you to our soldiers. |

Wow… I am a Staff Sergeant in the US Armyconsidering that I work at the US Army Joint Readiness Training Center at Fort Polk, Louisiana. It is our job to train soldiers to stay alive in Iraq… Afghanistan… or where ever our forces deploy and I can tell you that this guy is asking for an ass kicking. This is a prime example of how… and why soldiers are getting blown up in country… it is not our President… or our leaders… it is jackasses like this true “JARHEAD” that bring it upon themselves. This may seem funny at first, until you know soldiers… friends… and family that have been blown to shit and back by these radical fools that look for any chance they can to kill an American… and especially an idiot that is asking for it. |

Koons78, As a former Marine and Gulf War Veteran I’ll tell you now that your lame assed comments are indicative of the typical “Army attitude”. I worked along side some “Army” normals and have never saw a more nasty, undisciplined bunch in my life. If that Marine would have been wearing Army attire, with an Army attitude he would have been balled up in the fetal position, pissing on himself because he was afraid the Taxi driver might pull out a Daisy BB gun and threaten him with it. This sounds like another classic example of a lame ass pussy that knew he lacked the intestinal fortitude to make it through Parris Island, so he settled for second place and became an “Army of One”. Marines make up less than 1/10 of 1% of the US population for a reason, we have earned our right to wear an Eagle Globe and Anchor and don’t want to freakin supply clerk, back in the rear making pansy assed comments about what any Marine did on the front lines- He doesn’t “Rate” that opportunity. The reason why we have troops getting killed is because lame ass people like Koons78 made it through training and ended up being the trainers of today’s force. The Army doesn’t hold claim to the title of “World’s finest fighting force” because of individuals just like this candy ass, peter puffer, koons78. |

Koons78, You’re a POG (Person Other-than Grunt, pronounced “Poh-Ge”). Also known as an REMF, or today’s hot phrase “Fobbit”. Typical pencil pusher that hides out in training commands, found in all services, who often present a wholly unrealistic approach to fighting on a modern battlefield that is often halfway across the globe from his present location, due to very limited exposure to hostile fire or none at all. If you knew ANYTHING about Iraq/A-Stan is that this is common, simply bored Marines/Soldiers trying to keep their sanity. No harm came out of this, and the last thing they need is some kind of idiot like your kind micromanaging them even further. There’s no place for most of your bullshit “doctrine” and tradition in a real combat zone. I despised POG’s such as you during my time in the Corps and in Iraq. I award you no points, and the audience is now dumber (and misinformed) for reading your post. May God have mercy on your soul. Semper “Gumby” |
| about 1 year Ago |
flyerinky, If you take offense to my comments, simply pass the buck onto your fellow soldier koons78, because his smart assed comments about my Corp spurred them. If he would have kept his soup cooler in the closed position my comments would have never been made. USMC Scout is correct, this terd is just another admin pencil pusher that would get others killed in combat, more than likely. |

that marine is having fun,,, |
Fools who denigrate the military often claim fictional military service to gain credibility. Little likelihood Koons78 is who he claims. Jihadis are inspired to kill Americans by the Koran and their fanatic Imams, not by banter. This Marine exudes confidence and competence. The average Iraqi wants to be aligned with winners. Koons78 is the “jackass” here (his words). I doubt seriously if he has any connection with the Army. If he does, he is part of the problem. |

That jack-asses comments have really pissed me off, I’d like to see the Marine in the vid meet that that POG , and then let’s see what the geek says about the Corps then. As a Marine not on active duty anymore, I remember the days back in Gulf War, of screwing with the locals out of boredom and hoping for some action ! Semper Fi bothers ! Check out the web site “we served together” it’s a great way to find old friends. “Retreat hell, we just got Here !!” |

This is for Koons78: I’m a SFC in the Army. Let me tell you something, you reek of REMF. Once you put boots on the ground in a combat zone, and man a check point, fly a few missions taking care of these guys or even convoy down a damned road and get fired on, you’ll realize how something like this is real therapy for the guys and gals who actually have seen combat. Yeah, it sucks you know a couple folks KIA in the Box. How many have you personally pulled from the warzone? How may times have you actually had to return enemy fire for hours on end, get frustrated with ROE, be pissed on by REMF’s with all the gear, stories and clean suits? Probably never from your comments here. Get over yourself and your “training.” If you can’t have some fun in one of the hardest places to be in this Army, then I don’t want you next to me with an M-4. At that point, as the Marine up top so eloquently put it, you can sit your ass in the rear, with the gear…and play with Daisy rifles. God help anyone you are “training.” |
| about 1 year Ago |
I’m Army Engineer and this is funny as Hell!! I’d love to see subtitles for the taxi driver! “…don’t run with scissors,” ROTFLMAO!!! Can we put to rest our Army vs. Marine stuff for awhile? The video clip is a riot!! I love the Marine’s 12ga. also, I’d rather carry that house to house! My M203 platform is cumbersome by comparison. |

As I lay my head on my soft pillow each night in my comfortable bed, in my nice home, in my quiet neighborhood, I thank God that I live in a country that has heroes like this marine. I’m always mindful of how many brave men have laid their lives down so that guys like me can live free and unafraid. Don’t get me wrong though. If jihadists were lurking in the woods behind my house,,,I’d be out there,,,calling them out,,,just like this guy,,,but thanks to him,,,and those like him,,,they’re not ‘lurking’ in the woods behind my house,,,,and I,,,and millions of other men like myself,,,sleep ‘safely’, ‘peacefully’, night after night,,,in the greatest country on this planet. Freedom isn’t Free! Thank you,,,American Armed Forces! |

This is an hilarious video of a Patriotic American fighting far from home with a fantastic sense of humor. Unwinding in a way only a member of our Armed Forces can relate to (or a family member of a Patriot). I salute you Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, Guard, Air Force! Go Fuck with them, you SO deserve it. The rest of you, GET A GRIP! |

Wacko, First off after serving in the Army Infantry and the active Army, Army Reserve, and Army National Guard for over 16 years, let me say this. Fuck you!! It must be nice to only have to do a 6 month deployment while your army brethren are doing 16. You must not have served with the Infantry which leads me to believe that you are one of those rear echelon mother fuckers. Having worked with Infantry Marines you certainly don’t sound like one because you would know what the army has gone through. The Army even has more beach landings than you. Why don’t you ask your Marines who fought in the final Falujah conflict who supplied them, they were Army reservists and National Guard along with Active Duty. This is not some inter service rivalry, because after working with Marine Recon and Infantry I have nothing but the highest respect for them and their skill set. They are true warriors. Wacko you on the other hand think you have been the only one to have seen something. Let me tell you that it would be physically impossible for you in this day and age to accomplish your mission without the Reserves and National Guard. These men and women in most cases have sacrificed alot more than you to serve. And to the REMF’s, thank you for all the support you provide. While sometimes you do make it a bueracratic nightmare you are just as integral to the fight as the rifleman, anybody who doesn’t realize that has not studied their military history, especially the logistics side of the house. To the Army SSG at FT. Polk, first off how are the fire ants out there? Secondly, I do not share your view on the video. I think it was hilarious and applaud his warrior spirit. Remember our job is to close with and DESTROY the enemy(at least thats what it used to be). The Army, Strike that, all Service leadership seems to have gotten this idea that there is an ethical and moral way to murder your fellow man, there is not, but sometimes we must resolve conflicts in this unpleasant way. When we do we must bring the most brutal power necessary to achieve the mission in the shortest time possible. I actually appreciate the Marines warrior spirit. It reminds me of when I entered the army and Bayonet traing when we used to say “Kill, Kill, Kill.” Of course we don’t do that anymore. I am not an expert on the middle east, but I have tried to educate myself about it. I have come to the conclusion like those who have fought there in the past that you must dominate or destroy them. This s**t about using concrete warheads on missiles flown on $50 million dollar planes is bulls**t. During the bombing of Dresden, Germany during WWII we waited for the right wind conditions in order to achieve the most casualty producing affect with our incindiary bombs. this city was mainly a civilian population center and we killed more people there than during the bombing of Hiroshima. Make no mistake that the current manifestation of Islam and those who believe it are the enemy. Having interacted with them I know there are decent people, but their ideology is screwed. Bottom line I like the American way of life and am willing to do whatever it takes to secure that way of life. If only the generals and politicians had the moral and ethical courage to destroy our enemies violently we would have ended this conflict long ago. Thanks to all who serve. However, I would like to say a special thanks to the Artillery, Airforce, and Navy who help out the Infantry alot. And Field Artillery I hope to God your fate is not in this IO stuff. |

Lets all stop with the inter-military CRAP and just enjoy this Marine and his humor. Oooorah Marine and Semper Fi. |

Having an advanced degree in humor, I can authoritatively declare the video as humorous. In fact, it rates “damned funny”. Been in Iraq (twice) and Afghanistan. Brothers and sisters of all armed forces, I appreciate your service. I thank you for giving whatever you have to offer…great or small. |

I’m a former medic and a Psych major. From what I’ve read, the Marine taking an active role in what happens to him and to his buddies is a positive factor in him not coming home with a severe case of PTSD. Feeling somewhat in control and not like a victim along with a sense of approval from those who matter most to him are major factors in his being able to come home from combat and resume function easily. In a way, it’s also what we (at least the Army) teaches (taught?) NCO’s. …bring the guns to you! |
| about 1 year Ago |
Quit the interservice fights. The guy’s bored and deep down, he most bloody likely means it. Not all of our troops are the “I wanna go home” whiners the media makes them out to be, an image mostly created to avoid making them appear like warmongers. Some may regret having thought like that but most really love it. That’s why the young are the chosen to fight wars. Heck, I did my time in green in Nam and caught a goodly share of lead which I still carry in me. It’s guys like this kid who get others killed, all righjt: the other side’s people. |

I love all this commentary; ok, maybe not so much the whining. This video is a classic. All my buddies are talking about it—and laughing their asses off. S/F |

Oh my god! As a son of a retired Navy captain who served 30 years for our country I can now see why he talked me out of trying to be SEAl. You guys are killing me! You all are a bunch of self righteous bunch of ass’s. Imean that with no disrespct at all,but damn boys you are all on e the same team. This kind of riteroic is exactly what the enengy(the rest of the world) wants. For fuck sake no wonder things are all fucked up`. You older guys need to realize the military isn;t liek it was then andthe new guys need to remeber the ARMY,NAVY,AIRFORCE AND MARINES all have there role! None less importnat than the other. Think of the outcome if our “alise” have help this whole time. this time tyep of BS i swhat is worng with our country. freedon of speech yes but this is liek that “C” Hillary running her nouth abtou sniper fire. Keep allof us that havn’t done what ost fo you have done in mind whneyou publicily say what you say. Most don’t get it. most need to wake up but your commnents are for the most part a lot like Osamas er Obamas wife…serpartive!! You all are heors and than you fo rfo ryou service! This marine and his supports nee dto realzie that this type of abuse is destrucitve to th ecause and no one can defend it. Yes he is bored, yes he wants to unleash his fury on those that made us HAVE to be there. But in the eyes of the his coutnry he is doing what he is ther to do which is to restore peace so they all can come home! Thankful citizen! |

pathetic. what a mess we’ve created by invading a sovereign country for absolutely no reason. now we have numbnuts like this guy making dumbass videos. this really does show the ignorance of the american military personnel on the ground where he’s a reservist or career military. not only do we get to be buried in debt from this invasion, but the cost of taking care of guys like this who get injured will effectively wipe out social security and medicare for all of the baby boomers looking to retire. go bush! |

I’m a retired 28 year Marine who fought in Vietnam and most everything thereafter. I went from Private to LtCol with some college in between and I gotta tell ya, this kid is just like a 1,000 others I knew all along the way and I love him to death. Semper Fi boys, I don’t care whether you’re army or some bed wetting liberal, if you can’t see the humor and the necessity for it then you can just eat shit and die. God save the Corps! |

Wacko, You seemd to have touched on one of my nerves. Having turned down Sergeant Major and retiring from the Army as an EOD First Sergeant with 21 years of active duty, (3yrs as a Special Forces operator and 18yrs as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician),yes one of those guys who respond to dismantle/safe roadside bombs while you hide behind your uparmored hummers… it is quite evident to me your brain pan is filled with 95% shit and 5% inert gases. Having had the opportunity to serve, teach and fight with many brave Marines, you sir, with your arrogance and bravado are doing a great disservice to those of you who quietly and proudly serve. No fanfare, no self-recognition but those with a true warrior mindset. One team one fight! Except for the loudmouth assholes sitting in their recliners and armchair quaterbacking those actually in the trenches,Together! There is not a solder sailor, airman or Marine over there who has not or will not face some adversity during their tours….. Maybe you have seen alot, then again, maybe you have read a lot and envisioned yourself actually in their shoes…….. but I’ll tell you one thing, this retired first sergeant who has fought in 3 conflicts, recovered boobytraps from under dead women and children and sifted through the remains looking for evidence has seen the brutality that man can demonstrate against man. I would absolutely love to meet ya some day and formally discuss brutality, man vs man…. One of my closest personal friends is a retired Marine Corp Master Gunnery Sergeant and you are what he described as a Bullfrog,90% mouth and 10% ass which spends 99% of its time on its ass croaking! GOD Bless ALL of our troops, even the loud mouthed ones who give us all a bad name. One team one fight! |

Ok – my son is in San Diego finishing up Marine Boot Camp, and I think this soldier is HILARIOUS!! I can imagine that these guys/girls need some humor – I can’t imagine living in a God-forsaken country, trying to establish order to a bunch of people who want to kill you, and not needing some comic-relief!! And, I don’t care if you are Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines (although the Marines are the FEW AND PROUD!!) I am thankful for each and every soldier who leaves their homes, families, and friends to defend my freedom. OOOHHHHRRRAHHH AND SEMPER FIDELIS!! |

Koons78 and Bossking…wow, that is all I have to say. I am a Marine SSgt currently at a training command, but I do know what it is like to be overseas! It is important that ALL of our services are able to keep a decent morale, and this Marine was clearly just keeping light of a sucky situation! I already started a new quote for my weekend safety brief for my Marines “wear your seatbelt, don’t run with scissors, and drink milk”…come on, that is funny!! Bossking, are you even in the military? You sound like a fucking pussy to me…and I am a CHIC and yes I called YOU a pussy. If you think Iraq is such a “sovereign country” why don’t you try living there!! You strike me as the type of person that would be at a military person’s funeral with the signs saying “God bless IED’s” YOU are the pathetic one, not this Marine nor ANY other Soldier, Sailor, or Airman who chooses to serve their country! And for you Koons78, you talk about how this video is “a prime example of how… and why soldiers are getting blown up in country”. HA, no…people in training commands like YOU are why YOUR soldiers are ending up dead! I was an instructor at SOI (School of Infantry) for 3 years, and I made DAMN sure that my Marines had the tools they needed to stay alive! To this day, I still have Marines I taugh keep in touch with me! How about you take care of them, and send them a care package once in awhile? I bet you have your students leave your command, and never give a fuck about them afterwards! One of our Marine Corps traits is “know yourself and seek self improvement” how about you try that!! I have worked with EVERY service overseas, and it is not just this “JARHEAD” that does silly things like this video to lighten the mood, it is ALL of us! I say to all of you serving over there currently, keep up the good work! And if you need anything, Marines, look me up on MOL! SSgt Kat Humphrey. OOHRAH!! |

I say thank you and good for you! I am proud of all our men and women over there. You go with your badass selves! Come home safe! |

For Koons78,
I am ashamed to say I never served. It is something I will regret for the rest of my life, I look forward to the opportunity of redeeming myself if the Lord my God permits.
With that said, I have hella bigger balls than you do, as does the Marine in this video!
It’s desk and supply monkeys like you who give the real Marines and Army a bad name. They are there to FIGHT and WIN, not hide and cry like all the commies in San Fran and New York.
I’m proud of that soldier and wish there were thousands more like him!! God Bless America!!! |

As a former member of our Air Force… I think this is funny as hell. Let’s keep in mind that everyone behaves differently under pressure. GOD KNOWS these guys are under more pressure than we can possibly even imagine. Marines you have my permission and permission of hundreds of thousands of citizens in the U.S. to treat others in ANY FUCKING FASHION you please while you are over there. You are the reason we are free…some of these nit picky mother fuckers need to realize that… Rock on, may God be with you, and Bless every single one of you over in that cat nip country. I would say some witty military comment here…but I was in the Air Force…we had no witty comments. |

Truthfully, I liked it! The boredom of doing the mundane things that must be done in a battle zone is something that all combat vets endure in their own way, and we Marines have always been a Macho lot. figuring it is better to smile for a little while than to walk around all day with a grim face on forever. Marine humor is not understood by many. It is macabre to say the least, and it is instantanious, and at all times, it lets people know that we are ready for whatever our fate may be. The old joke of the Old Marine Gunny and the reporter comes to mind, while both are viewing a group of youths learning rifle safety. The reporter asked, “Does it make you feel good training these children to be killers with a gun?” The old Marine just looks at her, and she continues> “You are giving them all the equipment and the traning to be killers, aren’t you? Isn’t that what all this about?” Old Gunny stands tall, and he says, “Lady, you have all the equipment and enough of the training to be a terrific prostitute. Are you?” I would not worry too much of what the young Marine at his post has to say to the man. If there is anything that I do know, The Marines are always ready for whatever happens next! |

I don’t know what is more hilarious – the video or reading your comments…RELAX, people! Aren’t we all on the same side here? Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, National Guard, Coast Guard – active duty, reserves, or retired…WHATEVER!? You are ALL heroes in my book. AND you’re entitled to a little laughter along the way after all the crap you’ve put up with and the situations you’ve had to deal with. My brother served in the Nat’l Guard AND the Marine Corps (Ooh-Rah)and my sister has been in the Army (Go Army) since I was a kid and is currently stationed in the so-called “Green Zone” in Baghdad. Her husband was an MP in the US Army when they met, my father and father-in-law served in the US Navy, and so on…I am proud as hell of ALL of them and ALL of our troops, wherever they may be serving. So chill out, and let’s focus on getting this Marine and all the other troops serving in this hell-hole HOME where they belong! |
| about 1 year Ago |
To whom it may concern, just remember, once a Marine always a Marine. This Marine may come back to the world, look your ass up and kick it around the block just for fun, and/or because you (you know who you are) are an Ass Hole. But wait, seems to me you’re not an Ass Hole, you’re not deep enough to be an Ass Hole, you’re an Ass Rim. BTW, the video….OOORAH!!! |
| about 1 year Ago |
Outstanding!! to all who have voiced their opinion in the negative, you need to see the humor in life. the taxi driver didn’t understand a word of it! As for the inter-service chest thumping, give it a rest, we all play a part no matter the branch in which we serve and we would all put our asses on the line to help each other. To those who have not served I would like to invite you to read an article entitled “On Sheep” you can find it on Google. It sums up the nature of the world quite well. To all in theater, Stay Safe and God Speed! |

Mr.koons, sir you need to take a serious breath, and breath deep sir,All of us who have served and sacrificed,Whatever branch it may be,Have the right to exercise their freedom of speech, wherever they may be, especially in the toilet of sand that this outstanding Marine happened to be in. |

Folks, I salute you all who have served in harms way in a violent area in peace time and war. I served in Vietnam with the greatest group of Marines. Everyone was different in their views but we all were there to do our jobs of defending our people over there and keeping the fight away from our loved ones. When I first joined my outfit, I thought that they had a weird sense of humor. After being in a few firefights with them, it seemed normal. Guess I had my mind changed by what I had gone through. Guess we all had to changed or we wouldn’t have survived. What I am trying to say is we all didn’t see any red, black, blue or green. We were and still are today brothers in combat. This time we are fighting for our freedom in a world that hopes to see us defeated. |
| about 1 year Ago |
“ryan202” you talk about FALLujah as if you’ve pounded ground there. army did the best they can to keep the supply lines open, and did a decent job at assisting us in anyway they could (by carrying out our casualties, and some combat support-bradleys) and I THANK them for that. most army, national guard units there, were combat support elements-non infantry. with an armored unit on the outskirts, cuttin down any bad guys fleeing from the marines. we were doin the house to house fightin, we were the ones being ambushed with IEDs, not the army. to all my fellow groundpounders, and wardogs- army, navy, fly boys, marines echo 2/1 |

20 year Vet. 3 years Army and 17 years Marine Corps. I have always said that if the civilians saw and heard everything we did, they would think we are ALL crazy. This Marine is letting off a little steam in order to stay sane in an insane area where your enemy DOES NOT wear any particular type of uniform. The Maine Corps mission is ‘To close with and destroy the enemy by close comabat.’ This Marine is tryin to do just that and have some fun and make a difficult situation just a little better to bear and unless you have been there, keep your comments about how unprofessional this MARINE is and how this MARINE is going to get himself or some else killed or hurt. I thought this was very funny and a good example of how MARINE’S keep their sanity. |
| about 1 year Ago |
This video is very funny. What is Koons78 doing at the US Army Joint Readiness Training Center at Fort Polk? Training soldiers to have a picnic in San Francisco or Berkley? Marines are trained to protect those who can’t protect themselves and are always ready to fight. There are a lot of great Army troups that are ready to do the same. We are trained to fight not be traffic cops. SSGT USMC 1967-1970 3 Purple Hearts |

As a fellow Marine and true blooded American I’m disappointed that a lot of the comments that have been left here are bashing one branch of the U.S. Military or the other. I am extremely proud to have served and protected my country, but I also know that in the time of war and the heat of the battle ALL military personnel play a part in the war and everyone has the common goal in mind – to WIN! Some personnel play what some people might think is a smaller and more insignificant role, but somebody has to do it. This fellow Marine is just doing what we Devil Dogs do best, make it very clear that we are here to fight to the end and we will not go quietly into the night. People that are really fit for high stress situations deal with them in a different way than the “normal” public so we are deemed as having a wierd sense of humor. But when the fight is on, we are the ones that get the call to face the danger and protect those that either can’t protect themselves or chose not to. May God bless ALL the men and women who have served and are currently serving in America’s Armed Forces. Throughout it all I’m still true to the Corps! OOOOOORRRAAAAAAHHHH!!! Semper Fi. |

You’ll change your mind REAL quickly when it’s one of yours who is blown up by these fools who don’t want us there. Your “OOOOOOOORRRRAAAHHHH, Semper Fi” mentality is wasted on this oil based excercise in carnage. You’re wasting your sons and daughters so that Cheyney and Halliburton can get rich. Sir Rodney, I HAVE lost those close to me in comabt and in peace time. It hurts and I still mis my best friend. But they were something you could never be. THEY WERE MARINES. People willing to lay down their life if necessary for their fellow MArine. This attitude is prevalenat in ALL SERVICES. Sir Rodney, you need to get a grip on what’s really ahpening over there and stop believing all the BULLSHIT and rhetoric being spouted by the liberals and protestors. Do some research on your own. Gotta love the Marines. |

koons78- you are a douche bag As for the Devil Dog in this video, BRAVO and SEMPER FIDELIS. Having served and fought there myself as a Marine I can tell you first-hand iraqi’s have the IQ of amoeba and that shmuck in the car DID NOT understand a damn thing the young warrior said. The nit-wit in the car even continued to talk back as though the Marine understood him. That’s the idiocy we had to deal with over there, and this young American patriot obviously has his own way of dealing with those morons. |

Love…Love…Love it. As a former AF wife I know how serious things can get and sometimes you just need a laugh and a little piece of sanity. This guy is fuckin awesome. I wanna adopt him! Thank you to ALL the men and women serving our country in ALL services. |

Koons78, wow, what a stupid comment. I am a SSG at JRTC ops grp. There was nothing wrong with that video. The reason we are here are to train unit before combat. And for the Marines, yes we train Marines too. Marines come to our Airborne,Ranger, Air Assault,Halo schools, and for sniper, we train at their school as well. I have much repect for them. Worked with them in OIF I, OIF III. Great bunch of guys, hats off to you, that are Marines not wanna be Marines. But the video was great, was funny. We are here because we have the combat experience. And if you are the one with a slick sleeve you will soon be gone. Army and Marines do work together. As of right now a Army chinook unit is in Al Asad supporting the Marines, who requested the Armys help. We all need each other. Not all Army guys are like Koons78, dont confuse us. And for “going to be a Marine” your not a Marine yet, still have to graduate boot camp. And a beret is not a branch dumbass. Then again neither is medic or ranger. Stay safe to all my brothers or sisters in what ever branch you are serving. Oh stumpie…Koons78 was a idiot for his comments, but he did have the balls to serve! |
| about 1 year Ago |
How about “Wanna Be Marine”, I’m sorry, I mean ‘goin to be a marine’ shut his fucking mouth. Obnoxious little shit. Ignorant as hell. I hate this inner-branch rivalry bullshit. I have friends in every branch serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. If each force wasn’t specifically designed for certain tasks we’d had a collective ‘Military’, and not Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard. |
| about 1 year Ago |
Koons 78, I have been through a JRTC rotation and know exactly how realistic the training is. My casualty card stated that I had shrapnel in my foot, when I started low crawling without using my “injured” foot, I was told that I was not allowed to do that. I would really like to know how this Marines actions are going to directly lead to our troops getting blown up. |
| about 1 year Ago |
Sir Rodney, I didn’t drink the kool aid. I’ve been to Iraq and would go back again. Those of us that serve take an oath. We believe in the basic principles that this country was founded on. We do not pick and choose when, where, and whom we fight. We fullfill our oath and go where the politicians tell us. Be glad we went for our oil based exercise in carnage. Otherwise imagine how much more you would spend on a gallon of gas. |

As a former Marine (1965-71 & 1975-82) I can understand his boredom. We are taught to kill, basically, shoot first, ask questions later. Remember when Desert Shield was going on, the Army and Air Force were bitching about the conditions. The Marine AMTRAC unit they showed (somewhere in Saudi Arabia) were bitching they wanted to get on with things. This is the Marine Corps way. First to fight. The Army makes good garrison troops. My oldest son was an Army medic, when he went through basic at Ft. Leonard Wood, he told me later “Dad, you were right, all they kept preaching was fire on target, not precision like you showed me.” I have nothing but respect for all who currently are serving, and for anyone who doubts the Marine Corps is close knit. My late wife’s uncle, William T. Fairborn, was a 3 star general. At his funeral, the eulogy was deliver by a General Wallace M. Green, USMC (ret). After the burial at Arlington, we went back to the visitor’s center for the family to receive condolances. I happened to end up behind Gen Green in the line. I asked him if he was the General Green in my chain of command in 1965. His reply was “Yes, how did you like the Corps?” We chatted until we reached Aunt Laura. Here I, a buck private in 1965, was chatting with the then Commandant. We are all Marines, privates to Commandant! Semper-Fi and Oohrah!! |

koons78. I think I ran across some of your students in Vietnam. They were willing to do whatever they had to to save themselves too. Some of them were even willing to run. Could be they were some of YOUR students. How old did you say you were? You piece of shit. You are the one that is getting some of your soldiers killed. Most of them will stand and fight. Trouble is, sometimes they have to depend on those others you have trained. Only, they were doing whatever they had to to survive. They were running. Notice this Marine was asking this cab driver to BRING THE FIGHT TO HIM, NOT telling him to stay away. That is a Marine for you. Always looking for the action. |

hey just wanted everyone to know that is a ARMY SOLDIER! why is it that marines allways get the credit when its funny or cool. he is wearing Army ACU’S and that is a velcro patch on his shoulder. i want to leave you guys with one of my favorite quotes “For your information the Marine Corps is the Navy’s police force and as long as i am presidant that is how it will remain. They (marines) have a propoganda machine that is almost equal to stalin’s” President Harry S. Truman |

You forget Vietnam already? What did WE win? Hmm? The troops are the bravest, I just hate to see them sent into a phony war, concocted by old men who NEVER served. And when they get there, the are given shit equipment, while contractors get rich. Wake up! Love the troops, hate the President. The recovering alcoholic with daddy issues, who NEVER served. |
| about 1 year Ago |
Sir Rodney How can you say you support someone, but do not support what they sacrafice for. I was in the Corps and did tours to Iraq, and in my opinion if you do not support what I fight for and what I stand for then you do not support me. Go to any military base and ask the warriors what they think about this war. Ask them if they support it or not. We have been at war for 5 years now, and most contracts are for four years. So this tells me that most, not all, but most of the ones on active duty now enlisted or re enlisted after the war. They all volunteered so therefor I would think that they support it. Unless you are in the military yourself or have close family members then this war really does not affect you so pay your taxes and let the warriors fight the war that they want to fight. “There are those that call 911 and there are those that are 911” Rodney you are one that calls 911. |

Goin to be a Marine, why dont you put your boot in your mouth, once you ARE a marine then you can go put it in someones ass. Slyder is 100% right, the soldier in the video is an ARMY soldier, he is wearing an ARMY uniform. I did two tours in Iraq, in the ARMY, and in a COMBAT ARMS MOS, I had my fare share of battles, some right along side Marines, and thank God for the Airforce, nothing like seeing that A-10 rain hell on the enemy 400 meters from your location! gives me a hard-on just thinking about it. No need to bash anyone that serves in a different branch of service, we all fight for the same flag, and we all (unfortunately) have douchebags amongst our ranks. And no need to get all worked up by the anti’s, they aint been there, f*ck em! let em keep yappin and making themselves look like idiots to anyone with first hand knowlege of what the war is like, not opinions formed from CNN |

I read all this comments and the one things that strikes me more than anything is that we have VETERANS trashing VETERANS. Something seriously wrong with that. I also see some comments from people that have never served and they are passing judgement on those of us that have served. THEY DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT. THE UNITED STATES MARINES ARE THE BEST OF THE BEST and THE UNITED STATES ARMY IS THERE WITH THEM. We in the military have enought problems dealing with a crappy situation over there that we could fix if the politicians would just let us do our jobs and quite WHINING. Think about it. |
| about 1 year Ago |
Ok first off we definetly need all the services if it wasnt for us all we couldnt accomplish the missions that we do. Goin to be a marine I appreciate your enthusaism for the Marine Corps, but come on dude you dont have to be so harsh to the other branches and unfortunatley not every Marine could whip any army guys ass, I am a Marine and will be the first to tell you that, there will always be someone stronger, smarter, or more skilled. Now on to Slyder and Hoot I was just wondering if that is an Army uniform was does he have a Lance Corporal cheveron on his flak jacket? And to sir Rodney it must be real nice to sit behind a Keyboard and talk shit calling myself and my family stupid for supporting the military and the government which I swore to protect and take orders from wether I like it or not. I find it humerous that you do it here and would bet the farm that if you saw me out you would tuck tail and not say anything. I dont mind that you oppose the war thats the beauty of this country freedom of speech, but dont get personal I dont call you stupid for not wanting to stand behind our troops. |
| about 1 year Ago |
To everyone I say God Bless our Servicemen and Women. As a retired Marine I say to those that don’t support the war that they just as well pick up a weapon and stand opposed. (to quote a movie line) We were hit on 9/11, but as we all know that wasn’t the 1st time they hit us. President Clinton allowed the terrorists to gain a foothold on the world by not acting as he should have during his 8 years in the White House. Since 9/11, how many times have we been hit on our soil?? The last I checked, NONE. Other countries that don’t support us have been hit multiple times. To those out there that don’t agree with how President Bush has handled this war, I say, would you rather fight on their soil or ours? Personally I like their soil better. I have lost friends over there and I follow the press as much as I can stomach, but they are in the business of creating discontent amongst those of us that aren’t there. Good news doesn’t sell newspapers so they will never portray what we are doing over there as good. We have a free country which allows us to do and say pretty much whatever we want, however the lawyers and politicians are slowly but surely eliminating that right. I work now as a DOD contractor selling equipment that saves lives. That is all that matters. Are there criminals out there ripping off the government?? Absolutely, but it happens here in the states as well. Look at all of the criminals that come out during a huricane relief effort. People cannot blame Bush for what is going on in Iraqistan. He is doing what he should, keeping the fight on their soil. Sir Rodney, I applaud you for saying you support our troops, but by spewing the propoaganda you do against our President, you do nothing more than strengthen the will of the enemy because they know that sooner or later enough discontent will cause our leaders to pull our troops out and that will only leave them with no other option than to bring the fight to us on our soil. Is that what you really want? I would hope not. 9/11 does not need to be repeated. If it comes home, unfortunately it probably will. Maybe you can provide a safehaven in your home for them while they plan their next attack. For all of the interservice bashing, we all know full and well that we (all services) have our 10%. And I know full and well that we all piss and moan about deployments. We all know what it is like to leave our families and go to places where we don’t know if/when we will come home. It sucks. We are one team, but with quite different missions and roles. Lose 1 link in the chain and the big military machine rolls to a stop. There will always be an interservice rivalry, that is why we all joined the services we chose. Let it die and work together, because afterall if it comes down to it, it doesn’t matter who is in the fighting hole next to you, you have to trust that the other soldier, sailor, airman, or Marine has your back. Enough Said, Semper Fi |

First let me start by sayin this…the video is absofuckinglutely hilarious!! Way to go! I have been on active duty in the USAF for 16 years. I have spent plenty of time over in the sand box and, let me just say, we never once had to worry about anything. Why? Because we had Marines protecting our locations. Those pussy towel heads wouldn’t come within a hundred miles of them! I can’t say I blame the guy. All he is doing is finding a creative way to do his job…draw the emeny out of hiding, kill them all, get on the plane and return a hero to his family and his grateful Nation, while God sorts out the rest. Anything wrong with that? I don’t think so! For anyone that has a problem with this I ask you, have you forgotten 9/11? I sure haven’t. I applaude all ALL active, guard and reserve military member for their patriotism, sacrifice and service. THANK YOU FOR A GREAT VIDEO AND JOB WELL DONE! |

Name calling, really? Anyone can hide behind a computer and act like they know what is right or wrong. Isn’t maturity being able to distinguish between what really matters and all the other bullshit? Are you really going to let someone elses words get to you like that. I personally don’t care what our hero’s do. The fact that they are there right now speaks louder than all of us combined. Why don’t you guys keep your name calling to your self and grow up. Whether you like it or not, we all stand together on this. Red, White and Blue forever! |

Koons78, you obviously have never been in a combat situation. I’m a combat veteran, and I have never heard of comments like this Marine’s bringing bad stuff down on a unit. It is great that he can maintain his sense of humor in the environment he is in. Reading your comment, it sounds as if you are an office poge. Oo-rah for the Jarhead! |

Oooh Rah! Only a Marine could keep that kind of sense of humor in as stressful a situation as that. |

I would think that the majority of us took the same oath to defend our country against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Marines, gotta love ‘em, always entertaining. Funny clip. Don’t take each other so seriously, we have enough folks that want to destroy our way of life. We are the ones that have and will protect the liberties and freedoms of our nation, regardless of our uniform or MOS. Semper Fi |

Semper Fi to all who have seen this video, and to all who have been irritated by comment by poges like SSGT Koons, just disregard it, obviously he has some short coming and needs to take his aggravation out by posting a blog. As an Active Marine who has served several tours in the ‘sand box’ let me just say I have had the honor to serve with brothers from all services and most of them have been a blessing..the guys who flew in on the medivac for wounded brothers, the doc who’s always been with us, the guys who are overhead and support us from the air, even to the supply guy who ensure’s our MRE’s and water is ready before leaving the FOB or ensures our fallen brother’s body is escorted safely back to his loved ones back home. |

SSGT Koons is absolutely right. This guy is an embaressment to the country and the Marine Corp. How dare he have a sense of humor in a combat zone when the nightly news portaits our fighting men and women as savage killers. To all the numbers, but especially the 0311’s and even the 11 Bravos. HEY…I’m not sure about this. Its grainy, but those look like ARMY ACUs to me. Now the peice over the ACUs doesn’t look like anything I’ve seen the Army wear (I’m in Iraq now), but it also doesn’t look like anything I’ve seen my Marines wear either. (I spent 20 years active duty). I can’t make out the rank insignia, but I’d be willing to be that this wasn’t a Marine. Also, Koons 78…The soldiers I work with…they do this same thing on a daily basis, standing at the wire yelling at people outside of the wire. Professional? No. Hard Core? Yes. Dumb? Yes. Motivating? Like it or not…YES. You owe EVERY SINGLE MARINE an appology for your showing your boot butt. |
| about 1 year Ago |
As a 20 year soldier, this gave me a good laugh. I have to admit that I have told a few Air Farce jokes in my time, and that the tour lengths of some others services sticks in my craw, but have always caveated my jokes with the fact that I am glad we are all on the same team and that I respect each service for being good at what they do. I wish this Soldier or Marine had added a line about supporting his local pork farmer/pork being the other white meat or maybe offered him a pork patty MRE or a can of Spam….anyhow, I have watched this video 5 times now to try and figure out if this is a Soldier or a Marine…the first time I watched it, I assumed it was a Marine based on the color of the vest he was wearing and his unit call sign of Sierra Duece—-that sure doesn’t sound like Army speak to me, but then I saw that his helmet has a helmet band on it. I have never seen a Marine wear a helmet band so I decided he is a Soldier. But then I noticed that the Soldier doesn’t have a US flag on his right shoulder. Additionally, the shotgun has not been a traditional weapon of the Army, although it is coming back into vogue. Does anyone know if the arines now wearing helmet bands? |

Sorry guys those are ACU’s I had the same tan interceptor and molle gear when I was in Iraq The resolution is pretty poor so its hard to make out the rank exactly, it is either PV2 or CPL, but there are a couple hints that solidify the fact that he is an army soldier, 1. is the sheer color of his uniform, the marine corps digi’s are much more tan for desert camo, and much more green for woodland camo, the army ACU is in between to be used in all areas, but mostly urban. 2. is the cat eyes on his ACH, Army is the only service I have seen that wears them on our k-pods. Also his callsign of sierra deuce means nothing, while we were attatched to TF626 we changed our call signs from our traditional “crazy” element to random call signs on a monthly basis, and sometimes changed them on a mission dependant status. Going to the local army navy store and looking at the marine corps uniform isnt going to prove anything, you will see when you become a marine, service members fight and die in their uniform, a true professional will take more pride in his uniform than anything else, and any service member can notice those little details that sets one uniform apart from another. |
| about 1 year Ago |
I think everyone needs to chill…just because they are in the service doesn’t mean they checked their sense of humor at bootcamp. This is funny! Right up there with IED Hunter….and I can’t imagine a sense of humor being more in need than it is when you are in a foreign country with people who want to kill you. Semper Fi! |

Not that it matters that it is an Army Soldier and not a Marine, the video is still funny as hell |
| about 1 year Ago | Who gives a dead rats ass if he’s a Marine or a soldier? He represents the fine fighting spirit of the American serviceman. Bravo Zulu young man! I have two sons serving today, one a soldier and one a Marine. As a former “JARHEAD” myself, I would be proud to share a fighting hole with either one of my boys, or the young man in the video. |

Couple things. That is a Marine, He is carrying a Benelli M1014 Shotgun with collapseable skeleton stock (known as a Benelli M4 in the civilian market) , a weapon designed specifically for the Marine Corps. The shotguns that the Army carries (from what I’ve seen, but what would I know, I’m only in Iraq right now) don’t have a stock extended past the pistol grip and have a much shorter barrel, additionally they are issued one point slings to carry them. The uniform is clearly Desert Digital Marpat, look at the shape of the pocket flap (It’s not rectangular like the army’s, it’s got the “Half Octagon” look) and the distinct lack of velcro for patches further identifies this as a Marine. As far as the band on the Kevlar and the Cat eyes, I don’t know…some people wear them, some don’t. It could be SOP for this guys unit to have them or not. Either way, I find it hilarious and in good spirits. At no time did the Marine in this video say anything derogatory or degrading to the individual in the vehicle and was just having a lighthearted moment that helps cut through the stress we all deal with out here. Finally, to goin to be a marine, Until you have earned the title, served your country and deployed to a combat zone, shut up and leave the conversation to grown ups. You’re lack of relevance to this conversation is glaringly obvious and it’s that kind of attitude that will likely get your @$$ kicked at some seedy little dive bar in a military town when some SPC. in the army gets tired of listening to your mouth. It reminds me of the time when I was at the Break and Run outside of the stumps when some grunt jumped up on a table and said “I can kick anyone’s @$$ in this place, I’m a F&$%ing grunt”, about that time in a blur of motion from the corner of my eye, someone laid out the grunt with one hit, jumped up on the table and screamed “Well I’m Motor T!” Tone it down a notch before you end up like the guy that got knocked off the table. |

Really, are you seriously suggesting this LCPL isn’t a Marine? The Army and their smurfy ACU’s look NOTHING like desert MARPAT. Oh and if you pay attention to detail, he is wearing his METAL lance corporal chevron pinned to his ALL TAN flak. Seriously, i hope some of you pass your next medical annual check up… or maybe not. Smurf stuff aside (thats what we called the Army when they first started getting their ACU’s in Ramadi in ‘05), I lived in a hooch area right next to the Army, Navy, and did joint operations with the Air Force. Is the Marine Corps the best…. Your DAMN right it is but then I am a leather neck so there you go. Rear Echelon pouges need t o shut the fuck up about shit they don’t understand. I sympathize with those who trained by REMF like that. By the way, yeah I am a SSGT in the Marine Corps RESERVE. I am also a Tanker. Am i one of the INDIVIDUALS you were referring to? I can attest to the active duty components relief in the reserves job of supplementing their efforts . Not that as a Tanker i didn’t get mine along route michigan with my tank, but i do know what my role is in the grand scheme of things, and am pretty sick of hearing about how substandard reservists are. I would venture to say that the average reservist lcpl has better SA and overall sense of responsibility than a active counterpart. |

This is what I got from wikipedia… “The M1014 is currently in use by the U. S. Marine Corps and is planned for distribution to the U. S. Army, the U. S. Air Force, the U. S. Navy, and the U. S. Coast Guard.” So while the other services are slated to get it, the Marines are the only branch currently fielding that particular model of shotgun, thus ending the debate of which branch of service this individual was in. |

Since when is Wikipedia the definitive answer on anything? I think you should at least cite a couple more sources——let me suggest bathroom/port-o-potty walls, or internet chat rooms. If you want to see this in another source that is much better quality (you can read the name on the name tape but at least on my monitor it is not possible to see a globe and anchor in the digi pattern), you can view it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9SNu8Ke5uA&eurl=http://commonsenselogic.blogspot.com/2008/04/marine-giving-iraqi-cab-driver-some.html After looking at this, I am sure this is not an Army soldier as he has an embroidered name tape sewn on the back of his helmet, and interestingly, his helmet band is secured with what appears to be a safety pin. I can’t imagine any squad leader in the Army letting that fly. |

Gents, bashing eachother will do us no good. To those debating the branch of service, its a Marine. All tan flak, LCpl Insignia. Stop looking for detail and look at the obvious. Not that it matters. Two tours in Ramadi and a 3rd coming up. CANT WAIT!!!! airbornduck helmet bands were standard issue with the last Marine unit I deployed with, I wore one. Either way I met and served with many a ish talkin soldier in Iraq, they were good to go! |

I respect any serviceman for standing up to serve his country, regardless of branch of service or MOS (military occupational specialty). They all have their place. I hope some of you veterans who are carrying your comments to a personal level can reflect on that. There’s nothing wrong with being proud of your service and the men and women you served with in war or peace. Every service has good and bad. It just so happens that Koons78 is in the Army. I doubt he’s an instructor or served in combat as a regular assignment. He may have served in a combat zone, but as many of us know that’s not combat. In my 27 years in the Corps as an 0311 (infantry man), 0369 (infantry staff noncommissioned officer) and 0302 (infantry officer) I came across a few Marines who did not have the warrior spirit. Because they’re not representative of Corps values, I hope they don’t get the exposure that a Koons78 does by making foolish comments in public. I recognize that many in this audiance may not be aware of the mission of the Marine Rifle Squad. According to MCWP 3-11.2 (Formerly FMFM 6-5), the mission of the Marine Rifle Squad is to locate, close with, and destroy the enemy by fire and maneuver, or repel the enemy’s assault by fire and close combat. Koons78, it seems to me that the Marine is doing one heck of a fine job trying to accomplish his mission. From some of the comments here it would seem others recognize that the Army has a similar mission. Perhaps that’s something you should reflect on today. To all our men and women in the Armed Forces, God bless you and God speed. My daughter just returned from Iraq. Of course she’s a Marine! Semper fi to all my brothers and sisters, and God save the Corps! |

Boss King and Sir Rodney, your comments are inappropriate for this video. We’re commenting about this Marine and the way he goes about the job he’s required to do. If you need to find a public place to vent your misguided and demeaning views on Iraq and our military, please join your pathetic friends at Walter Reed or some funeral. At least that way you’ll be consistant with your wrongheaded comments at the wrong place and time. |

As a former infantry soldier, jumpmaster and helicopter pilot I have to remind you all that complacency can and a lack of an attention to detail does get people killed every day. That video is great, but obviously staged as there was a camera present. My bet is that the Marines at that checkpoint are operating it to standard…I suspect that vehicle had already been subjected to a search that included looking for the tell tale signs of VBIEDs etc. I think that Koons, if he had thought about it and re-read his post, probably was commenting on what he perceived to be someone screwing off at a check point and possibly being lackadaisical in performing his duties. It is possible that is what occured, but the video itself is not proof of that. Every true Soldier, Marine, Airman etc wants to close with and kill the enemy. It is obviously much better to do that on your own terms—-in this case from a chosen fighting position—-rather than on the enemy’s terms. |

Hey WACKO, My dad was a Marine. He’s dead now. died from secondary issues related to headwounds recieved in combat. He was a Navy Cross recipient as well as a 2 time Purple Heart Recipient. Two reserve marines showed at his funeral. Thats it!! SemperFi? My ass!! There was no faithful there that day. Marines as a whole are one of the many higly trained forces in the world. You are talking out your ass when you talk about reservists or Guardsman from the U.S.Army. 13 MOH recipients alone were from the 45th Inf State of Oklahoma National Guard alone. Tell those men theyre a bunch of grabastic motherfuckers. Theyll shove that globe up youre ass and cut off your anchor. If you have one!! |

Damn, quit with the bullshit bickering. This is a funny video, ok? Reminds me of the strange stuff we used to do out on convoys. 12 Months in the turret of a guntruck can do some weird stuff to your head. I know, wasn’t no where near as glorious as being EOD, infantry, S/F, recon but hey, it beat being behind the wire living life as a fobbit. Yeah, I’m actually a SSG. that’s a 62Bravo(that’s heavy construction equipment mechanic) with 19 years in and I went out on the road because my boys wanted to. How can I lead from the rear? Be OUT FRONT! I served at TQ and it was Marine run, and you know what? IT WAS GREAT!!!!!!!! And, if it weren’t for the Marines my wounded probably would have been worse off when my lead ship hit an IED. So, let’s not forget, one team, one fight. We all bleed red. One thing I must say though, hey, Koons78, eat a d*^k! None of the training we went through even pretained to what we actually encountered over there. Until you go out on the road, fight in the streets or hell, let’s just cut it down to, go outside the wire on actual mission, shut your male entertainment center, bitch. Goin to be a marine, good luck son. Just remember, not everyone can be a Marine, but there are those of us, from the army, that truly appreciate the Marines and have close freinds that are former Marines and some that are still active. You never know, you might just have to call the army sometime.(grin, come on, smile, that’s funny.) |

Armyof1, where was your father’s funeral held? I only ask because you didn’t mention it or the fact that there was more thanlikely a very emotional memorial held by his unit before the funeral actually took place. Was his unit still deployed? Did he have a military funeral? If not why he most definately deserved it. And if so was there not a rifle detail and pall bearers present? When you say there were only 2 Marines that showed up that sounds a little off. I know you are probably bitter, but you know as well as I do that the Corps doesn’t abandon its own. I also know that if the funeral wasn’t near the base where he was stationed that the entire unit cannot attend, as much as I am sure they wanted to. My deepest sympathy for your loss. What did your father do and what was his billet in Iraq? |

Great sense of humor especially considering that amount of time some of the Marine (grunts) have had to spend there. |

behill46: Dad was with the First Marine Div in Korea when he was wounded.Chesty Puller was in his chain of command. He died at Lawton Oklahoma(Fort Sill) where there is a Marine Detachment assigned to the Artillery School and is Cadre to all Marine Artillery Students. I’m a disabled veteran and work as a veterans rep for the State of Oklahoma and know what the military can or cannot do in regards to burial details.. In my opinion it was a piss poor showing of support from his brothers in arms, and as great of an organization that the United States Marine Corps is and the history that is part of what formed this country and the image they portray, they let him down. Dad was a 100% service connected disabled veteran that sacrificed his livelyhood, health as well as other numerous things. he should have had a full Marine Corps Burial. “This We’ll Defend” |

One point nobody’s made is that this is an excellent interview technique. This marine now knows whether the driver understands any more English than he admitted. He knows the man’s reaction to a delay; nervous, annoyed by red tape, planning revenge. He gently pushed without being insulting. Honest, it sounds like jibber jabber and it’s meant to. But he actually did a lot of smart. And hey, keeping yourself mentally alert is the hardest part of guard or checkpoint duty. Marines just look dumb. And they really don’t care if you think so. They’re happy to have that tactical edge. NEVER underestimate these guys. They aren’t insecure nerds who are afraid people won’t realize how smart they are. |

koons78. SIR RODNEY..Take a hike! Anti-American Liberals are not welcome here!!! I agree with Ronsonic this is indeed a clever way to intercept information and also have a little fun at the same time! This is hilarious and we all appreciate what the men and women are doing who serve to portect us from the onslaught of terrorists. Maybe koons78 an Sir Idiothead Rodney would like to invite the insurgents to tea! |

kiwigal,,,Speaking as the ‘administrator’ of this posted video,,,and having the capability to delete koons78’s and SIR RODNEY’S comments,,,I have to agree entirely with you that “Anti-American Liberals are not welcome here!!!”,,,and usually on my political post, I delete ‘pinko’ comments immediately, not being willing to provide a forum for their crap,,,however,,,in this case,,,this ‘comment string’ is so relevant,,,and the members of our Armed Forces are so respected by me,,,I decided to just let those who have paid the price and are paying the price by actually serving this great country,,,stomp their asses ‘verbally’. |

After 29 years in uniform (left early to avoid a DC tour) and 12 years not exactly retired working with cops and military security, I feel justified in adding my two bits to this string – despite the disturbing lack of humanity or literacy expressed by some of the previous respondents. Stay safe and come home, Marine, I’d be very proud to stand beside you some day. |

Very funny! I love his sense of humor (which I can see is sorely lacking in the comments, fer pete’s sake). I have a crush on this Marine. And I’m an Army gal. ;) “…concerned about his fellow man’s safety and nutrition…” Now that’s funny too. |

ARMYof1, your family would have had to of contacted the Marine reserve unit in OK City for a Marine burial detail. As for the Marines that are at Ft Sill, they are students, training at their MOS. They are in training and cannot be pulled to perform burial detials. The instructors there are not staffed sufficiantly to accomadate a burial detial. |

I have not read all of the posts here but one thing that you all need to remember, when it hits the fan and the call goes out “Corpsman Up”, who is it that is the one out there doing whatever is necessary to keep you alive? It is the green sailor the Navy Corpsman. It is he that attempts to dodge bullets and mortors to put you back together. It is the Army medic that slaps that bandage on you to stop the bleeding. We are all brothers in arms (well maybe with the Air Force it is sisters) but we all bleed red, white and blue. Weather it is a REMF or someone in the “Big Suck”. We can talk all the smack we want to one or another that has served, but let somebody from Berkley try to say somthing… And when you come back home, it is still Corpsman like me as well as so many other “specialities” that still fight for you to get your benefits from the VA. I refer to all the veteran organization’s service officers. I was a devil doc, served with the 3rd and still serving with the DAV. Please stay safe, and when you come back, look for me or one of my brothers/sisters to keep on fighting for you. SFi |

After 13 yrs with the USMC, I retired before I got retarded. My sense of humor. So this comment this Jarhead made is quite fitting. To all who served our country, I am so grateful for your dedicated service to our country. It’s a badge of HONOR no one can take away from us. To those who never served and yet “chose themselves” not to serve, and you badger us and OUR country for the freedom we provide to you, keep your damn mouth shut. I have many friends within all the branches of the service and the inner rivalry continues. All jokes aside, it was an honor to stand next to them. To goin to be a Marine, you’re not a Marine yet, so get that smurk and chip off your shoulder. The comments you made 6 days ago (any Marine can kick any Army"s ass), is just what might get you or anybody else killed. Just like being on the streets, anybody can be taken out. Listen to what your drill instructors say in boot camp and rely on your instincts. My youngest son will be entering the Corps within 3 or so months and I will be telling him much much more. To all my fellow Marines (and fellow servicemen & women)Semper Fi |

Everyone needs to realize that we are all on the same team. I’m a Marine wife and am proud to say it. There’s always gonna be an idiot in whatever Armed Force, so there’s no need for name calling. We should fight together, not against one another. I’m proud of everyone who serves our country and thankful for it. You have to have humor to get through your time there. We don’t need ignorant people (koons78 and bossking) using their right to freedom of speech. More like, freedom of stupidity. Hilarious video, MARINE, not soldier. KEEP THE FUNNY VIDEOS COMING!!! They’re a lot better watching than the gruesome ones :) |

I used to have the same views as many of you, i hated marines to hell. Im a former Army Sergant Major and i was sationed out in Iraq and i did nothing but shit talk marines day in and day out. It wasnt until an RPG hit near our position and debris fell all over me and a car landed on me from my waist down. i was completely revealed and in the terrorists field of fire and i couldnt move, my M4 Carbine had fallen from my grip and i was shooting wildy with my M9, which by the way the 9mm is a piece of shit, didnt do a damn bit of good for me. Well i thought this was the end when a platoon of marines saw me and 4 of them came to my rescue. They lifted the car, some crappy little car that was parked nearby, and as i got out, 3 of the 4 marines were shot saving my life, 2 of them died to save my life. I was shot in the shoulder and had to get surgery on my legs, and im glad we have mother fuckers like US Marines out there on our side. We need to realize that none of the military branches can do a damn thing without the other. The navy launches beach landings and coastline protection, the air force bombs the shit out of cities so that our army and marines can swarm the rubble an kick ass. we are all in this together, to save our nations freedom. Koons78 is correct, its funny what this marine did, but he is asking for an ass kicking. trust me you think your ready to kick ass your first chance over there, its scary as hell. this guy is funny, but cant shut the fuck up and is going to get his ass kicked…as for you wacko, fuck off, the reserve soldiers are doing their jobs too, so suck a nut. |

Sir Rodney, You tree hugging fruitfly. YOU and people like you are why we have to fight these ignorant bastards to begin with. If everyone had the integrity (look it up fool) as a standard everyday Marine they would know not to mess with us. But passive SOB’s like you make it appear to be a worthy fight. |
| about 1 year Ago |
I didn’t see the fucking douche bag’s (Sir Rodney) comments before. How ignorant and idiotic can you be? That Marine is serving his country PROUDLY for stupid people like you. Why don’t you try to go out there and do what he’s doing? I bet you don’t get very far you fucking fruitcake. You would actually be asking the Iraqi’s to come kill you or to be sent home because you would be too scared to be there. You should be thanking the Marines and all the other armed forces for serving over there to keep the terrorists away from you and your SAFE home. |

Sir Rodney, Fake war? Sooooooo…… the Twin Towers never existed? No one was killed on American soil by Osama Bama’s (Barack’s cousin) brown-nosing rodents? Interesting…yeah, you’re right. We shouldn’t fight them. We should just let them sneak in over here & do whatever they want. Do the jihad even know what Kool-Aide is? I guess they can learn to appreciate it at YOUR house, Sir Rodney, after they take it over. |

ok, I’m gonna try to say some stuff on here to a lot of people, marines, soldiers, airmen & seamen alike, I may piss some of you off, and I may not, oh f&(#ing well. I don’t care. I’m trying to be as politically correct as my MARINE mind will get. I have served in the US MARINES, the ones that are either your greatest friend, or your worse enemy. I, unfortunely blew my knee out, and after being misdiagnosed in a navy hospital, was found unfit for further service because I did not heal quick enough. I WOULD GIVE ANYTHING TO GET BACK IN, SO ANYONE WHO KNOWS HOW TO HELP ME OUT IN THAT DEPARTMENT, HIT ME UP ON THIS PAGE. now down to business, I love the Marine vs ARMY or whatever. IT IS A FRIENDLY RIVALRY, thats what needs to be. Rivalrys like that make each other better. I can poke fun all day at the other branches cause in the end I respect them and know that when shit hits the fan, we are all in it together. |
| about 1 year Ago |
KOONS you are a little bitch. I am ashamed of people like you. I have a guy in my class who is a full time reservest, and he is a piece of shit like you. He has told me personally that he’s never been in any shit. But he puts on like he knows, it reminds me of you. THats why you are both little paper pushing idiots. SO SHUT THE HELL UP. |
| about 1 year Ago |
BOSSKING, all I’m gonna say to you is your welcome. People like me, the others on here, and that MARINE have ensured that people like you can speak such things. If you lived in that so called “Sovergn Nation” and said what you just said, you would have been imprisoned or hung. But if you have a problem with us, when we get done over there, you and all the other pinko commie hippies can move over there and enjoy their sovergnty. and by calling yourself a baby boomer, you just said that you were one of those idiots that spit on our troops in the 70’s. well I say FUCK YOU, if you hate us so much, go to Iraq and joing them. |
| about 1 year Ago |
SIR RODNEY, you are less of an idiot than BOSSKING, but still one none the less. Your comments are the bearable kind of protests. You can protest the war all you want, just don’t bad mouth the troops. I can live with that, but by saying we can’t WIN. Thats what will make this like Vietnam, its people like you that ain’t been there, and the fucking news media. We were having our asses handed to us for the first half of WWII, but what pulled us through is the support we had and the news media talking positively. Also, check your facts. Do you know how much armor covered HWMMVs weigh? Sometimes too much to make feasable to use in areas and on missions. Something another f-ing idiot John Kerry, didn’t check on when he was bitching about it a couple of years ago. OF course coming back from a combat zone, then protesting against his comrades makes him a traitor in my book. And you wanna bring up non-serving leaders, who you voting for Hillary or Obama I would assume. Neither one knows anything what its like to be in the service, at least Bush was in the national guard, even if he got out of combat, he does have a taste. So as far as I’m concerned, you can jump on the same plane thats gonna take BOSSKING to his new home over there in the box. |

This will be it for me. To begin with, that is a marine, notice the diagnol arm pockets, with the flap sticking out from the pocket, due to the velcro, and if you look carefully, there are some cross rifle’s under that stripe, and I can’t remeber seeing cross rifles under any stripe of the army’s. TO the guy who said whose had more amphibous landings, better check again. Not only have we done it numerous times, but we perfected it. Do I need to say more then over in Europe during WWII, you had some reinforcements from the ally nations, most of them. While the marines were island hopping the pacific, virtually alone, agains the Japs, who were far worse of an enemy. soon to be or gonna be, all I’m gonna say is be patient, don’t get mad at those who chastized you for what you said. IF you become one of the few, you will understand why we said that stuff to you. I had a good buddy who went to a local night club with me, two fresh grads and the 2 recuiters who put us in. He was in the DEP program, and wearing a MARINE tshirt. He got pissed when a girl he was talking to asked me why he didn’t have his uniform when he went to the head, and I said cause he ain’t a Marine. Call me a c*&k blocker, but it was true. He didn’t have it yet, and ended up chickening out of bootcamp the night before he left. He never understood why I did that, but the other 4 MARINES did. I wish you the best, and hope you do earn the TITLE, so that way you will understand too Remember, you could never call a 4 star General of the Army a soldier, never call the head of Naval Operations a seamen, nor call the Head of the Airforce an airman, but the Commandant of the Marine Corps will always be damned proud to be called a Marine. |

This is great. These guys have to be funny now and then to deal with the enormous pressure they are under. “don’t run with scissors” has to be a classic line if I ever heard one. Time to remember for a minute how lucky we all are, even those liberal whiners, to be living in a country where so many willingly give of their time and often their life so that each of us can sleep well at night. If you have not yet today, take a moment and thank them. Every time you see a guy or lady in uniform, take a minute to say “thank you”. You don’t have to make a big deal about it, just tell them than you and be safe. I do it every time I see a uniform, and now my two teenage girls do it too. They always say thank you and really seem appreciate a little thanks. god knows they have earned it. As have all of you who have served. Thank you and be safe. |

I was regular army infantry and I did 16 months in the sandbox in 05-06 with the 172d Stryker Bde. Let me say just a couple things: First, to any soldier that has been in this thread bashing the USMC, and any marine that has been bashing the Army, you are all DISGRACES to your respective service branches. And from your comments I willfully assume that NONE of you are anything other than REMFs yourselves. No REAL line soldier or marine would denegrate the service of their direct peers. My infantry company was attached to a marine RCT in Anbar province for 7 months. We had to cooperate, we had to share, and we had to get along. And we did. Any bickering we did was good spirited. SO, to those of you that are bashing service branches other than your own, let me remind you again regardless of your rank, and in front of every reader here that YOU ARE A DISGRACE. Now, to more trivial technicalities. It does look like Army ACU’s to me. Among the observations already made, I’ll point out the gloves, which look like ACU issue tactical gloves. (they are called Aviator’s Gloves on hand receipts, if I remember correctly). About the whole shotgun issue… weapons are routinely shared between units as they come and go. We had a tap into the marine supply system at the company level when we were in Anbar, and also shared off the books gear with neighboring units from time to time to fill needs. So I can’t say with 100% certainty that is an Army soldier due to the grainyness and lack of camera time on the soldier/marine, but I think it probably is. Not that it matters. Hooah! Hoorah! Oh and to the wannabe/soontobe marine… you better learn to STFU because your big mouth is going to get kicked in if it flaps like that at marine boot. FRIGGING TURD. |
| about 1 year Ago |
After re-reading a few of the comments by fellow veterans attacking the service and professionalism of their cross service peers, I feel shame for them. If you are above the rank of private and you have attacked the professionalism of a peer service branch you are WRONG. Civilians can actually be excused, they don’t know any better. So can brand new soldiers and marines, who will learn. But those of you wish RANK, and therefore I assume TIME, that actually talk shit about fellow Americans that are just as likely to take a bullet… FUCK YOU. Yeah I’m talking to you, Marine 1st Sgt. I’m talking to you Army MSGT. I’m talking to you retired Colonel, or whoever else conceals their integrity with a bloated, disgusting overgrowth of ego. Soldiers and marines sweat, bleed and die exactly the same way. I’m so disgusted at this thread, and disgusted at some of you. |

Wow, rbutters is really upset, he or she needs to grow up. I have no way of verifying your claim of serving in the Army. You are not the only one who has been on a battlefield, and saw the losses of the friendlies and the bad guys. Is rbutters a he or she and still in the Army? Maybe you need to go see a shrink on anger management. In my 22 year career, I graduated from four formal Army Schools. Probably, the last one before you were born. All the instructors were professional, except when they started cutting down the Corps and that included some misinformed Army students. The last formal school was at the JFK Special Warfare School, Ft. Bragg. 110 students in the course, 100 Doggies and 10 Marines. It just so happened the Marines finished the course in the top 11. |

Okay, let me start by thanking OUR men and women for giving me the right to live FREE. Now, I know that there are always buttheads out there that are going to Bitch about any and everything, because if they didn’t, they couldn’t feel good about themself. As for puff face, (yeah you know who you are) my father passed away from the Vietnam war, so don’t you go spitting bullshit from your mouth. He had high honors and was a great DAD. He was spit upon (I’m sure from people like your Mother and Father) and called all kinds of names. He told me of what it was like for freedom that his troops give to the people of Vietnam. People like YOU make me sick knowing Our Troops are fighting for ungreatful assholes like you. Go back to the hole you crawled out from and then, only then, if you want to tell everyone reading this that you are truly sorry for being totally rude to our Commander in Chief and all of OUR MEN and WOMEN in Service, may you come out. I do want to say that I am sorry for the language I have used to all the other readers, But I miss my Dad and I am very proud and love him for my freedom as well. Our Troops ROCK. They can say anything they want.. I got your backs… Thank You |

It will be seven years this year that I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer, Diabetes and High Blood Pressure, all in one day. Those led to other problems caused by the Agent Orange. I blame no one for the deseases, as a career man you take the bad with the good. If your father was ill due to any of these I have described, except High Blood Pressure, and he was not on disability for the remaining two, someone needs to check with a VFW Representative for Benefits. The VFW Rep will do all the leg work and will advise you are someone if you have a claim. I worked with two widows whose husbands served in Vietnam and both died of Prostate Cancer years after leaving the service. I advised them to contact a VFW Rep. who filed claims for the both of them and they have received a substantial amount of money, plus a monthly check. I know this does not bring back your father, but it may aid someone in your family, maybe even schooling. I did not mean for you to thank me for serving, but I do appreciate it. My comment was made for rbutters. |

Let me say this, i have said my story. I hate that you all pretend the marines are better than the army, and that the army and AF and navy dont like to be called soldiers. thats shit. were all in this together, we are all americans, we fight for the same rights, the same freedom, the same kickass president bush and our families. the only differnce is what sort of work we do. if pilots and seamen shit talk eachother then desk workers and phone operators in the same business should bitch about the other, but they dont. its sad to see fellow SOLDIERS and AMERICANS bitch about eachother. I am glad the marines are with us, same as the ass kicking Air Force, and the navy that gets us through the day. marines are NOT better than any other branch. get the fuck over it. ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL. get the fuck over it. lets fight this war, lets kick some ass, lets save the lives off the opressed and innocent, and fuck the pinko commies. if you still think the marines are better, fine. be an egotistical bitch, you probably have a major malfunction and need a cranel rectal extractor to get your fuckin head out of your ass. i admit i prefer being army, but marines have better snipers, but i assure you, us army airborne boys will fuck some shit up with artillery, hand to hand, and small arms over the marines. im sorry but its true. as for rbutters, i got that sona bitches back anyday. i like that man. hes right, if your a citizen, obviously if your not a soldier or military family you have no fucking clue and you need to shut your penis holster before i shove my cock down your throat and teach you who is whose bitch here. if your a non military person, just shut the fuck up you pino commie democrat liberal shitface assclown cock sucking tree hugging douche. you have no idea what kind of shit we go through to put our lives down so you can have the freedom of speech. just remember that every moment you spend resting, every time your punk ass says “im too tired” a soldier is told he wont sleep for a month, or that he will stay in combat unexpectedly for 6 more months, and he doesnt bitch and whine at all. he says “Yes sir” and does his duty. if you havent seen combat, shut the fuck up, your fucking ignorant, and you just dont understand. i gave my life for this country, i am on 40 years old and after having my leg in surgery 5 times i have to have a crutch to get around, and my shoulder pains all day from the bullets i took. fuck you. go watch some american idol and pretend its all good, go to hell. maybe one day when you serve or one of your close family or friends die over there you will wake the fuck up and realize we are doing whats right. GO ARMY, GO NAVY, GO AIR FORCE, AND GO MARINES “Mission, Soldier, Family, Team” Sergeant-Major Paul Manetti i was at fallujah, war is hell, and those guard and reservists are just as much soldiers are full time soldiers. get the fuck over it bitches, we all do our duty, no matter the hours of the day we do them at. for some people full time isnt convenient and just wont work for their lives. some have issues we may not know about. go watch the music video for “Citizen Soldier” by 3 Doors Down. the guard and reserves are EXACTLY like the American Militia that freed our nation 226 years ago, if it werent for militia, we wouldnt be here today. |

By the way, the American flag you see as my personal icon has a soldiers blood on it. My Ranger Buddy. He carried it in his pocket and I had one just like it. He didn’t make it home. But he stood a post just like this chap you are bashing so that you can sit at your computer and determine how he should or shouldn’t act. |

I left the Marine Corp 20 years ago and let me attempt to enlighten those who are having trouble understanding. The rivalries not only exist between the services but also within Marine Corp units themselves. It is much like a big family and it is ok for you to insult and berate your brother or sister because both you and they know the admiration and respect you have for one another. Within the Marine Corp there was and I assume still is the Air Winger (those working with the air craft) and the grunts (self explanatory) Any night but especially on the weekend there was likely to be a brawl between members of the family but in the end they all know that in the morning their life depends on the absence of inefficiency on the part of the other. The video is definitely of a Marine LCPL as stated. Let me interpret this scene as I assume it happens. This unit has been deployed here for sometime and day in day out they are running their checkpoints bored to tears but always wondering if the next vehicle is the one that will kill them all. It is near the end of his shift and this vehicle and its occupant have already been cleared. another bored to tears soldier grabs the video camera. This bright young soldier runs through his monologue much the same as you see in any late night talk show (think Jay Leno)or comedic movie. He already knows this guy doesn’t understand a word of what he is saying but here is what he wishes could happen. Instead of standing here day after day trying to make your life better. How bout you go round up all of the guys making life hell for the Iraqi people and tell them I’m working for another hour and if they would just come on down here we can settle this thing real quick and I can go home to a country that cares about me. |

I have been in a “normal life” for quite a few years now but there are somethings that you never forget. The sensibilities and attitudes in a combat zone or in a life style that might depend on your ability to not think twice about acting in a life threatening situation are different from the average person.( I mean this to include first responders and Law enforcement as well as military personnel)Those in the know(have been there or in a close family that includes these people. Have little trouble seeing the humor in this video. those who have been sheltered from such things may see it as less than professional. Those in positions of high authority and responsible for reporting to the general public will say this is not the norm and behind closed doors they will be laughing their ass off and making their up their own even funnier dialog. My wife brought this video to my attention by sending me the link and saying “I think they caught you on video” |
| about 1 year Ago |
Last, I have been very wordy but still want to add to those who don’t find the humor here, I feel sorry for you. To those that do, God bless and be sure they know you appreciate them doing what they were sworn to do the best they can. For the psychologist posting here I think it is often called desensitization. When Marines talk of killing and violence and act as if they are emotionless, it makes it all the easier to be the unstoppable and invincible Hero you are trained to be. Semper Fi brother and it was funny as hell. Thanks to all my brothers in arms that are currently keeping me and mine safe at home. |

This is quoted from Madprofessor; “And for the Marines, yes we train Marines too. Marines come to our Airborne, Ranger, Air Assault, & Halo schools.” (Not to mention some others)- I always wondered why this wasn’t aknowledged more often, but this is absolutely true. I’ve trained other nations soldiers as well as other branches of service. Obviously these aren’t regular Army schools, but I illustrate that the Marines must not think that badly of us Army pukes, otherwise they wouldn’t waste their time training at our facilities. Devil Dogs training with Dogfaces. Man shit, however you slice it. You gotta love it!! |

Bossking (queen) To Bad, So sad… The government is spending you welfare and social security on taking the fight to our enemy. You want to talk shit about President Bush. I’m sure you thought “That will teach them”, when Slick Willy shot a million dollar cruise missiles at one of their camels. You Jack Ass! Tell you what. Lay back, shut your Cock holster and let the Brave Men and Women of the worlds finest military protect our Country and our way of life. HOO-FUCKIN-RAH CRAIG! Couldnt agree with you more. Bill Clinton, known to me as Billy the Zipper, is a total jackass. Clinton never did a god damn thing to help this nation. His sorry as sat in an office and wasted oxygen and 8 years of presidency by fucking his fellow americans in bed to gain their votes. John Kerry shot his own fucking men, lied about Cambodia, which he never set foot in at christmas, and he shot himself once, was fucking around with his bayonet and stabbed himself, and when he was being a jackass with hand grenades tossing them at innocent river fishers one went off and his ass caught the shrapnel. He never saw combat in his life, if he had/has, he probably would have shit a brick and ran as far from the zone as his french runnin legs could take him. remember one thing you Grunts, being a marine or grunt or devil dick as some of you are, doesnt make you better than any of the Green Berets, Airborne Boys, Rangers, Artillery guys, not even better than an Army Dentist. no matter whether you are the one putting criminals behind bars, putting a fire out, capturing a terrorist leader, savin a kitty from a tree, jumping on a grenade, shooting the fuck out of a jihad, fixing a tooth in a hospital on the front, driving a truck, or selling coffee in a military building, were all doing something to keep the soldiers motivated on the front. were all pitching in. someone has to do something somewhere for someone, we are all working equally hard. as a former soldier i think the REAL heros are the FRG, Familiy Readiness Groups, and the civilians back at home that donate time and money and VOLUNTEER to keep us happy while were on the front. From the 7 year old boy that sent Bush the $1 he asked for to the man who jumped on a grenade to save his buddies, we are ALL serving AMERICA as EQUAL as ANY OTHER. just doing it in a deifferent, special way. I could NEVER keep my head and helmet up on the frontlines ready to fight, never be able to stand tall if i didnt get weekly letters from my children, they are what get me through every day of fighting. “…One Nation, Under God, Ready to KICK ASS!!!” |

0311grunt- not sure why you’d check back here, but my husband was with you in fallujah. At least I’m pretty sure he was. If there’s a way I can contact you on his behalf, let me know. I know he’s trying to look up his buddies (he’d write this himself but he’s back over and doesn’t have great internet access). Anyway I thought this was priceless, and it made my day. As for the inter-service pissing match going on, I support almost everyone in the service, but I’m a Marine Corps wife always. |
| about 1 year Ago |
I am a retired US Navy Corpsman. I served with the 2nd Battalion, 1st Marine Infantry in Iraq. I think this Marine is the typical well disciplined Marine. He is just doing what he needs to do to maintain his sanity in the face of danger. Semper Fi Marine. Just remember to keep you Shite wired tight and stay safe. Doc |
| about 1 year Ago |
We use to treat getting mail like a game(think baseball). We would count the letters like home runs, days were innings. Anybody who went through a week shut out got to pick from everyone else mail to read. You would be amazed at how many serving our country get no mail for weeks from home. The support is essential to get through. Support form each other only goes so far, support from home(a letter) can raise the spirits of a whole unit. |

hey sir rodney, go FUCK urself! if you don’t like our president, who supports our troops and takes care of our military instead of getting office head like clinton i got a suggestion- get your ASS on the first plane over to the middle east where they are doing so well and let’s see how long you stay sane or for that fact alive. you pompous ass! OOOO-fuckin-rah!!!! my brother is an 0311, who just got back from deployment and if i saw him doin this my mind would be eased by the fact that he still had his sense of humour. |

Jeeeezus people. Pull your heads in – take it for what it is – funny. I know that inter service rivalry can be bad – but you guys are taking this to the extreme……. |
| about 1 year Ago |
This is very funny. And whats even funnier is the inter service rivalry especially due to the fact that its a soldier on the video and not a marine (look at the uniform). Regardless who is out there, we’re all on the same team. I salute the guy on the video and everyone else who serves. For the ones that can’t enjoy this humor, its only because they have not served and do not understand. |

I love the way the Marines are ready for a fight and their usual humor. But this is the wrong fight for any true American soldier to be involved in. Picture yourself having a foreign soldier on your street putting out the word for the people fighting against his occupation of your country to come out and get shot by superior firepower. The invasion and occupation of Iraq is an illegal war of aggression against a non-agressor nation that was and is no threat to the US, something the US I know and love abhors and considers to be the worst of all war crimes. A complete disgrace to the everything the US AND the Marines stand for! I love the Marines but I hate treason against my country! Like you said I don’t know where my country is heading these days but it’s pretty obviously straight to hell under these Rebuplicans leadership. And if you think for a second that the nation of Iraq under Sadaam was any kind of a serious threat against the United States that warranted the actions taken then you must think the US is one lame ass scared weak puny nation, and that our troops and intellegence services are so stupid and weak that they can’t prevent or reppel attacks rather then initiate them as our Constitution declares we must. I happen to think that our nation and our troops are better and smarter and stronger then to have to resort to barbaric stupid weakness. But of course there will always be those out there, currently those greedy slobs of the Rebuplican party, that are barbaric stupid weaklings who will try to push their own immoral fear and weakness onto the rest of the nation. Just really sucks when they embarrass our fighting men and women by making them look like a bunch of weak fearful heathens. And it really pisses me the heck off when criminals like the bush administration use the US armed forces illegally in said war of aggression for the sole purpose of stealing that nations resources for the profit of private corporate interests when the sole pupose of those armed forces is the defence of our nation. The invasion and occupation of Iraq is the most totally un-American and illegal use of the US military EVER! |

The world is run by one million evil men, ten million stupid men and a hundred million cowards. The evil men are the power – the rich men and the politicians and the fanatics of religion – whose decisions rule the world and set it on its course of greed and destruction. If you have read this far then sit quietly for a while and figure out if any of this may be true in your life’s experience and what you may have been taught by others to believe. If you want to, argue this dissertation with logic, without insults derived from a purely emotional reaction to what you have read. That seems to create only an atmosphere of hostility and resentment in a person. A natural reaction on this forum seems to stretch only to use cuss words and vulgar suggestions in place of logical debate. |

OUTSTANDING MARINE! That show of pride and confidence is exactly what your Drill Instructor tried and obviously instilled in you. I don’t give a damn what any jelly donut office POG, no matter what branch of the service, or shitbird who has no right to berate our service personnel, has to say . I would love to set here get bash’in on some of you morons like koons, actually pronounced, coward or sir rodney pronounced traitor and even rbutters, actually pronounced buttercup, but I believe the military personnel in this blog and probably most of the citizens realize you are cowards or traitors, so I will just know you for who you portrait yourself to be. To ‘Sierra Duece’ SEMFER FI DEVIL DOG, I would don my cami’s and fight with you anywhere, anytime. To my fellow bretheren who bare the title, ‘UNITED STATES MARINE’ a big SEMPER FI. To all other branches of brave military personnel who have swore to uphold and defend this Countries honor and freedom, remember, there are two types of people in this world, Marines and those who wish they were. Just kidding, I love the whole inter-service rivalry thing, my SON is proudly serving in the Army and has done his tour in the box, I am damn proud of him. I love my Corps, but we are all on the same side. Till we salute at heavens gate, Ooh-Rah and Semper Fi. “Always a Marine Sergeant” |

Hammer, Devil Dog Mom here. Gosh, none of you guys explained to the Army SSgt trainer person that this Marine is already in grave peril when he posted at that check point. Ya didn’t tell this guy that the cabbie is doing his own recon and our Marine was doing a fantastic show of strength, knowing full well the cabbie was taking in every detail of fire power and support this Marine had with him. Which is another point. I’m sure he wasn’t out there by himself. It is just too bad the Army SSgt just doesn’t understand what a masterful weapon a well trained US Marine really is. If he doesn’t agree what the Marine is doing then he needs to rush a message to the Commandant and have the trainging manual changed. My son, 19 years active duty MSgt US Marines, trained many at PI and said this fellow is a GREAT Marine. And oh, by the way. My son-in-law 101st Airborne, “Army”, must have missed the Army SSgt’s classes. He’s touring Bagram with a big gun in the door of a Blackhawk. Something akin to standing in the wide open at a checkpoint. I just hope the SSgt doesn’t wind up on my son-in-law’s crew. |

What great delivery and timing that young LCpl has – and great lines! During wartime, good humor helps reduce the stress, provides creative opportunities, and just generally improves morale. First of all, Semper Fi ! Second, I would like to take this opportunity to thank “everyone” who has served our country with pride and honor! At a time when we are dealing with enemies inside our own boarders as well as outside, we should at the very least be thankful that there are those who wish to defend our rights voluntarily, not thru a draft, not because of any bonus, but because it’s the right thing to do if we are to pass on to our childrens’ children a country that still has a moral commitment to freedom. I have always enjoyed a good arguement, this is just not one of the topics that I will consider worthy. |

Semper Fi! just watched this again and read through the comments. “The idea of war is not to die for your country, but to have some other poor dumb bastard die for his” Gen. George S. Patton. I still can’t help but think that this Devil Dog was just trying to help some poor dumb AIQ die for allah or which ever of the 57 Mohammedan nations he came from. Fallujah was an eye opener for those who thought there was glory in fighting for allah against Mother Green and her Killing Machine. Now they just don’t seem as dedicated to their cause. |

Awesome video. Reality in a war zone. I love it. Koons78 just doesn’t understand. It’s a Marine thing. Seen this before with Army units that don’t get it, in 91. He probably trained them. You guys need to chill with the negative Reservist stuff though. A large percentage of your famed Island Hoppers in WWII were Reservists, Full divisions… in fact, if I’m not mistaken the Iwo Flag Raisers were 5th Mar Div Reservists. Reservists have fought and sacrificed in many wars. Reservists can be pretty resourceful pulling together with their “Individual” civilian skills and meshing it with their Marine Corps knowledge to accomplish a mission, especially when their units are kept together. Kept together, there isn’t much a Reserve Unit full of Communications workers, Carpenters, Police Officers, Firemen, Computer Techs, Teachers, ect…. can’t do. Sure, there is the occasional moron who doesn’t understand what he or she joined the Marines for but most Reservists are smart enough to know better. Last time I checked I earned my EGA at Parris Island just like any Active Duty Marine. And when I left for Desert Storm in 91, I seen many of my Active Duty counterparts staying in the states while I went to war.Semper Fi |

I served with 3rd Lav Wpns Co. Tow plt. Then 1st Bn 1st Marines Wpns Co in Iraq. If you are not a Marine then PLEASE, PLEASE dont try to understand us. Its a MARINE thing. YOU WOULD NOT UNDERSTAND! We are a sick albiet professional group of ass kickers. So please Army pukes who wank and wanna be Marines. Cry on your own time and just move outta our way when we come through.
